Research has shown that mindfulness, meditation and yoga practices (including Ayurveda) have the ability to positively impact specific autoimmune biomarkers in certain autoimmune diseases. In this workshop Marcie Evans, MA, ACSM, CYT, TIYT will share how yoga, Ayurveda, and mindfulness can powerfully influence autoimmune biomarkers, body system processes, general well-being, emotional health, and healing related to autoimmune flare-ups. She will review concepts of well-being and health through the lens of her own experience in the healing process and the yoga practices associated with potentially healing autoimmune symptoms. She will also include in the workshop how chronic stress and trauma influence our health, potentially contributing to chronic illness and dysfunction of all body systems as well as the influence of the vagus nerve and vagal toning on healing. This course will be 50% online synchronous and 50% online asynchronous. The synchronous portions will include contact along with instructor led support and Q & A.
